Speak to me, so i can enjoy the silence.
Your eyes are liars, in so many ways
a masters in reverse psychology.
When you sleep
lonesome tears
Stay awake.
It hurts me too.
medicine, misery,
different names for the same thing.
Don’t panic,
It must have been the roses
This fire, all we ever need,
Can’t keep the rain.
Lie to me; i’ll feel a whole lot better.
Steal my body home,
i’ll be your mirror
sleeping beauty
In my dreams, guess i’m doing fine.
Here in my room,
in between days,
every breath you take is
the start of something beautiful
Don’t let them see you cry.
i though about you, sour girl,
divinity within, untouchable
i’m yours, you’re mine,
No one really wins.

So What

I’m waiting for the man.
It’s seven below under the bridge;
Even rats don’t panic.
Take it and run
Run run run
Running on faith
and firewater.
Flying through the days of the week
the wrong way.
A strange education
on a tightrope; if I fell…
Just let me down.
The common people
in their Sunday best,
blind to the burden,
find steadier footing;
Heroes.
For what it’s worth
Lover, you should have come over.
True affection? No such thing.
Someday you will be loved
In spite of me.
Time to go.
The song is over
And this is your life.
The last drop falls,
of whiskey and blood,
A red so deep
in the clouds…
Apocalypse, please?
Hallelujah.

New Change of Heart.

A song for the deaf
is not just words.
A lack of color
collapses the light
Silent in the morning
Push to the pocketwatch rhythm
a slow descent into alcoholism
It’s what I do on a Saturday
There’s never enough time
to see the world
Out of nowhere
The south side of the sky
Devoured the ocean
Tom Sawyer’s last rites
like feathers fell
Weak and powerless
The sky is falling
The desert is on fire
This place is a prison
Initiation, intervention, eulogy
Breathe in
Hold me tight
Forget my name
I can feel your pain
Don’t shut the door
This will only hurt for a minute.
